'I need to stop', I whispered to myself, as I clicked 'next episode'...
Although we may not want to admit it, we all love this feeling. ⬆ We all love being entirely captivated by a slowly-unfolding story which leaves us dying to know what will happen in the next episode. Many of us also love the feeling of re-watching an old favourite and reconnecting with the characters. I know I do.
And now, we can finally do this guilt-free! Well, most of us at least. For those who are still grappling with exams, this blog post will get you planning what to watch during the summer break. 📣I repeat: during summer. Please don't binge-watch now. You have to study. Thank you.📣
So, let's discuss. These are 5 series which we would all so love to watch or re-watch: *drum roll*
1. How I Met Your Mother
(I totally self-fived when I thought of including this show on my list.) With Barney's unique sense of humour and Ted's equally unique story-telling skills, this show is a must-watch in everyone's life. What's so great about this show is that while you're being entertained, you will also have the chance to learn important life lessons, like (spoiler alert): if you're sad, just stop being sad and be awesome instead.
2. One Tree Hill
'One Tree Hill' is a show that follows its characters' journey from the age of 17 to adulthood. This is a journey that is filled with basketball, friendship, love, hate, loss, death, and of course, drama. These are all so beautifully captured on screen that 9 seasons just go by in a jiffy, each episode simply leaving you wanting to know more.
3. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Will Smith. That's enough of a reason to watch/re-watch this series.
(But seriously, this show will crack you up. Highly recommended.)
4. Prison Break
This show documents a beautiful brotherly relationship, one that is unfortunately brought to the fore in prisons and prison breaks. The story begins as one brother gets framed for a crime he didn't commit, and so the other swears to get him out of jail before he is killed. Then follow whole seasons of constant scheming and escapes, making this series another one which will keep you hooked.
5. Gossip Girl
If you're into gossip, fashion, and drama, then this is the show for you. Don't say you haven't been warned, though: it will get you dreaming about having Serena van der Woodsen's and Blair Waldorf's fashion senses and (very expensive) shoes. In the meantime, however, you'll encounter beautiful friendships, relationships, and surprises that will all make it a very interesting watch.
Bonus!: Re-watching your fave Disney Channel Shows
I know those were the days, Zack, and that is why I like to revisit them. Whether it's 'The Suite Life of Zack & Cody', 'Hannah Montana', 'Wizards of Waverly Place', or 'Cory in the House', entertainment, with a touch of nostalgia, is surely guaranteed.
So there you have it, my top not-so-new series to watch or re-watch. You are now fully equipped to grab some popcorn and get your binge on. Of course, there are many others where these came from, so I would love to hear your picks!
